Hard Work Pays Off
Serena Williams played a great game of tennis last night in Melbourne Park. The 27-year-young powerhouse won the Australian Open!
She is ranked at No. 1, with 10 Grand Slam titles and four Australian Open triumphs, all won on odd-numbered years (2003, 2005, 2007, 2009). “The first week was tough but we got through it,” Williams said. “I was playing lazy tennis in the beginning and was doubting myself.” With a regained dose of confidence, Serena can ready herself for the next tournaments in Paris. However..... she has a little time to celebrate!
