Courtesy of MTV.comThe Simmons sisters launched their sneaker-line, Pastry Footwear, in March 2007 and have been doing the family name quite well. In their move to LA, it's expected that both ladies will work together on expanding Pastry as well as work on their own creative endeavors.
Vanessa is currently pursing acting and excelling with charm. She was featured on The Guiding Light as Lola and was also part of the off-Broadway play, The Actor's Rap. Vanessa is currently working on two motion pictures set to be released this year: the action/drama, Boogie Town (director - Chris Stokes) and the comedy, Speed-Dating (director - Joseph A. Elmore, Jr.).
Angela has also been keeping busy. Along with expanding Pastry Footwear, clothing, and accessories, Angela continues her role as executive editor for her magazine, Angela's Rundown, a subsidiary publication of Word Up! magazine. Angela's also working on her debut R&B album, due this year. Her first single "

So much on their plates, how will these young execs do it all? Other than relying on one another, Vanessa and Angela have their cousin Jessica to save the day. Jessica has recently relocated to the West Coast as an assistant to the Simmons Sisters in an effort to keep them grounded, in the business aspect of their lives. Friend Alycia is also on board as a balance, to complete the quartet of four young women aspiring to get their feet wet in
After watching Angela and Vanessa mature on Run's House for five seasons, it's inspiring to see them leave the nest and make their own way in the world. We look forward to following Angela, Alycia, Jessica, and Vanessa and all their new beginnings.
