MLB's New York Yankees have announced yesterday the one-year contract signed with Chien-Ming Wang, 28 (last year: 8-2 with a 4.07 ERA in 15 starts). The starting pitcher was on the disabled list early in the off season last year BUT has proved himself healthy to play in the 2009 season (which starts April 16, 2009 at the new staduim). We're happy he has recuperated and is ready to play ball.... at the compensation of $5 million. Wow!This is following last week's great announcement that CC Sabathia and A.J. Burnett are also going to join the new and improve New York Yankees, in their new and improved stadium. Burnett's number is 34 and the towering, lefty Sabathia's is the new 52. We can't wait to see them all play the field!
